About this section: I started the Illustrators Showcase section, because I have many, many illustrators I follow and love (some of whom I’ve interviewed, some I am planning to) and I wanted to take them all and put them in one place, one “corner of the internet”. So I wanted to do something weekly, where I pick one artist and I share with you what I think is their coolest work, and make this some kind of inspiration panel. Feel free to bookmark/pin/pocket this section, because it’s going to be awesome.
Today’s artist is James Gulliver Hancock, whom I’ve interviewed a while ago, and whose work is colorful and full of imagination.

“I think it’s best to invent your own project and draw what inspires you. Otherwise you’ll run out of steam early, it’s best when you have a personal connection to something, that’s when it really becomes something special. Be yourself, embrace your quirks, then get all that down somehow and show it to as many people as possible.”
